A. 
Current water rents, as established by resolution of the Village Board of Trustees on April 20, 2004, are hereby confirmed and continued as follows: All water supplied to users connected to the Village water supply system shall be charged a flat fee of $37.50 for zero to 500 cubic feet of water and $9.50 for each additional 500 cubic feet or part thereof, for each assessed EDU (Equivalent Dwelling Unit, as defined in Chapter 149, § 149-4, amended as of November 12, 2009); all water supplied to users outside the Village limits shall be charged a flat fee of $56.25 for zero to 500 cubic feet and $14.25 for each additional 500 cubic feet or part thereof, for each assessed EDU.
B. 
For purposes of this resolution and the assessment of water rents generally under Chapter 176 of the Code of the Village of Morrisville (Water), the definition of an EDU (Equivalent Dwelling Unit), and all terms and provisions related to the determination of the number of EDUs assessed to a given property, including challenges to such assessments, shall be as defined and set forth in Article IX of Chapter 149 of the Code of the Village of Morrisville.
C. 
Water bills will be sent on a quarterly basis, at such times as may be determined by resolution of the Board of Trustees, to all owners of real property connected to the water system, and the failure of any owner to receive a bill promptly shall not excuse nonpayment of the same, and in the event the owner fails to receive a bill promptly, he shall demand the same at the Village Clerk's office.

D. 
Water rents, and/or the manner of calculation thereof as established by Subsection A above, as well as late payment fees and other charges that may be imposed under this chapter, may be amended from time to time by resolution adopted by the Board of Trustees. No public hearing shall be required prior to the adoption of any such resolution.
