This Division shall be known as the "Water Department," notwithstanding that it is a Division of the Department of Public Works, Parks and Recreation. It shall continue to operate the municipal water utility of the Borough in the manner prescribed by general law, and in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 530 of the Code and all applicable regulations of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities which may relate to operation of or accounting for such municipal water utilities.

The Director of Public Works shall be the head of the Water Department and shall be responsible for the duties and exercise all of the authority of the Mayor set forth in Chapter 530 of the Code.
