Editor's Note: This local law was adopted by the Town
Board at its meeting of 8-4-2010, with final adoption determined 11-2-2010
by referendum. This local law also superseded L.L. No. 6-2009, passed
at referendum 11-3-2009, abolishing the Office of the Receiver of
Taxes and Assessment, that was to have been effective 12-31-2011.
The purpose of this article is to abolish the Office of the
Receiver of Taxes and Assessments in the Town of Orchard Park.
The Office of Receiver of Taxes and Assessments in the Town
of Orchard Park, New York, is hereby abolished, effective December
31, 2010. The powers and duties of that Office shall
be consolidated with the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Orchard
Park, New York.
This article shall be subject to mandatory referendum at the
general election on November 2, 2010.[1]

This article shall take effect upon the affirmative vote of
a majority of the qualified electors voting therein at such general
election on November 2, 2010, and the filing with the office of Secretary
of State in accordance with the applicable provisions of law, on December
31, 2010.
