A. 
The position of Parking Enforcement Officer is hereby established pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-154.7.
B. 
The Parking Enforcement Officer shall have, to the fullest extent allowed by law, the following powers:
(1) 
To issue a parking ticket for a parking offense, as those two terms are defined in the Parking Offenses Adjudication Act, N.J.S.A. 39:4-193.2 et seq.;
(2) 
To serve and execute all process for any parking offense issuing out of the Allamuchy Township Municipal Court; and
(3) 
To cause any vehicle parked, stored or abandoned in the municipality in violation of any statute, resolution, ordinance or regulation to be towed away from the scene of the violation, and to collect from the vehicle owner or the owner's agent on behalf of the Township the costs of the towing and subsequent storage of the vehicle before surrendering the vehicle to the owner or agent.
A. 
The Township Clerk shall serve as the Parking Enforcement Officer upon adoption of this article and until December 31, 2008. Thereafter, the Parking Officer shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Township Council.
B. 
The Parking Enforcement Officer shall serve such hours and for such compensation as the Mayor and Council may determine by separate resolution.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, any power in this Chapter 130 granted to a police officer shall be granted to the Parking Enforcement Officer.
