Township of Halfmoon, PA Article IX Reestablishment of Floodplain Conservation District and Zoning Map Overlay District Boundaries

§ 118-32 Establishment of district boundaries.

A. For the purposes of this chapter, the Floodplain Conservation Overlay District shall be those areas of Halfmoon Township identified to be subject to the one-hundred-year flood, as delineated on the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) issued by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA):

§ 118-33 Revision of overlay district.

A. The identified floodplain area may be revised or modified by the Township of Halfmoon where studies or information provided by a qualified agency or person documents the need for such revision.

B. Prior to any such change, approval must be obtained from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

C. Should a dispute concerning any identified floodplain boundary arise, an initial determination shall be made by the Township of Halfmoon Municipal Engineer.

D. The most recent FIRM Panel listed shall be the boundary shown on the Official Halfmoon Township Zoning Map as the Floodplain Conservation Overlay District.
