Pursuant to the authority granted in Section 302 of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, the Comprehensive Plan prepared by the Township Planning Commission, consisting of maps, charts, and textual matter setting forth recommendations for the continuing development of the Township, is adopted as the Comprehensive Plan for the Township.[1]

The Board recognizes that the Southwestern Pennsylvania Regional Planning Commission is the representative agency to continue area wide planning (including transportation, open space, water and sewer planning) for the Township and adjoining municipalities, and to perform planning at the regional scale in the Southwestern Pennsylvania area and to act as the area-wide review agency.
