The provisions of this article shall apply except when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or official traffic control device.
Traffic control signals shall be installed and operated at the intersection of those streets described in Schedule I (§ 180-43), attached to and made a part of this chapter.

The maximum speed at which vehicles may proceed on or along any streets or highways within the Village is hereby established at 25 miles per hour, except that the speed limit for vehicles proceeding on or along those streets or parts of streets described in Schedule II (§ 180-44) shall be as indicated in said schedule.
No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed in excess of that indicated in Schedule III (§ 180-45), in the areas described in said Schedule III, during school days between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
The streets or parts of streets described in Schedule IV (§ 180-46), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as one-way streets in the direction indicated.
The streets or parts of streets described in Schedule V (§ 180-47), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as streets that may not be entered in the direction indicated.
No person shall make a U-turn on any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule VI (§ 180-48), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall make a right turn when facing a steady red signal (stop indication) at any of the locations described in Schedule VII (§ 180-49), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
The intersections described in Schedule VIII (§ 180-50), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as stop intersections. Stop signs shall be installed as provided therein.
The intersections described in Schedule IX (§ 180-51), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as yield intersections. Yield signs shall be installed as provided therein.
No person shall make a turn of the kind designated (left, right, all) at any of the locations described in Schedule X (§ 180-52), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
All trucks, tractors and tractor-trailer combinations having a total gross weight in excess of five tons are hereby excluded from all streets except those streets listed in Schedule XI (§ 180-53), except that this exclusion shall not be construed to prevent the delivery or pickup of merchandise or other property along the street from which such vehicles and combinations are excluded.
The lanes on the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XII (§ 180-54), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby reserved for the purposes indicated, and traffic in such lanes shall move only as indicated in said schedule.
