No person shall discharge or cause to be discharged
any firearm within the limits of the Village of Geneseo at any time,
without written permission from the Police Department.

Any person who violates any provision of this
chapter shall be guilty of an offense, as defined in the Penal Law
of the State of New York, and shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject
to a fine not to exceed $250.

As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
Any implement which by force of a spring, air or other nonignited
compressed gas expels a missile or projectile and has a rifled or
smooth barrel.
Any rifle, pistol, shotgun or muzzleloading firearm which
by force of gunpowder, or an airgun as defined herein, that expels
a missile or projectile.
