The Board of Supervisors of Warwick Township hereby establishes a real estate registry for Warwick Township, which registry shall include the list of tax parcels and property owners set forth in the records provided to Warwick Township by the Tax Assessment Office of Bucks County.
After the effective date of this chapter, every grantee, devisee, person or entity acquiring title to real property in Warwick Township in any manner whatsoever shall, within two business days of recording the deed or conveyance with the Bucks County Recorder of Deeds, register the deed or conveyance with Warwick Township by hand delivering or sending a copy of the deed or conveyance, as recorded, to Warwick Township by registered or certified mail, return receipt requested.
It shall be a violation of this chapter for any person to fail or refuse to deliver or send to Warwick Township, in the time and manner set forth in § 147-2 above, a deed or conveyance of property within Warwick Township.
A fee, not to exceed $10 per deed, shall be charged and must be paid to Warwick Township for the registration of each deed and/or instrument of conveyance.
Any person, partnership, firm, corporation or any other entity capable of holding title to real property pursuant to the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania who or which shall neglect or refuse to comply with any of the provisions of this chapter, upon such a finding in a summary proceeding before a District Justice for Warwick Township, shall be subject to pay a fine not to exceed $600 per violation and for the payment of all court costs. In the event the fine is not paid within 30 days, said violator shall be imprisoned to the extent allowed by law for punishment of summary offenses.
The Warwick Township Manager is authorized to establish rules and regulations and application forms as necessary to implement the provisions of this chapter. The Warwick Township Manager is also directed to deliver a certified copy of this chapter to the Bucks County Recorder of Deeds and the Bucks County Board of Realtors advising that office of the adoption of this chapter.
