There shall be no more than 1/2 cord (two feet by two feet by four feet) of firewood stored within a structure or upon an open porch or patio. Larger amounts shall be stored as far as possible from any dwelling as physical limits of the property will permit. The total amount of firewood stored on a property at any time shall not exceed 2 1/2 cords of wood.
No woodpile shall be stacked higher than five feet measured from ground level to the highest level of wood.
All firewood shall be neatly stacked with a clear space underneath the woodpile of no less than six inches and no more than 10 inches measured from the bottom of the woodpile to ground level. The clear space shall be kept free and clear of all weeds and debris.
Any person who violates or fails to comply with any provision of this article shall be guilty of an offense and, for every such offense, upon conviction, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $1,000 and costs of prosecution and, in default of payment of fine and costs, to undergo imprisonment for not more than 30 days, provided that the imposition of one penalty for an offense under this article shall not excuse the offense or permit it to continue; and all such persons shall be required to correct or remedy the violation or failure to comply, as the case may be, within a reasonable time; and when not otherwise specified, each 10 days that the prohibited conditions are maintained shall constitute a separate offense.

A certain document, three copies of which are on file in the office of Codes and Ordinances of the Borough of Paxtang, being marked and designated as the International Property Maintenance Code, 2021 edition, as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Property Maintenance Code on file in the office of Codes and Ordinances, Paxtang Borough are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this article, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in § 310-6 of this article.
The following sections of the Property Maintenance Code are hereby revised as follows:
A. 
Section 101.1. Insert: "Paxtang Borough, Dauphin County" as the name of the jurisdiction.
B. 
Section 103.1. Insert: "Paxtang Borough Office of Code Enforcement" as the Code Compliance Agency.
C. 
Section 104.2. Amend to read: "The Council of Paxtang Borough may establish a refund policy."
D. 
Section 109.4. Amend to read: "Violators shall be liable to a fine of not more than $1,000 per offense."
E. 
Section 110.4. Amend to read: "Violators shall be liable to a fine of not more than $1,000 per offense."
F. 
Section 302.1. Insert: Accumulation of trash, junk, debris, building materials, newspapers, circulars, flyers, notices (except those required by federal, state, or local law), abandoned vehicles, portable storage containers, discarded personal items, furniture, clothing, large and small appliances is prohibited.
G. 
Section 302.4. Insert: Weeds or plant growth in excess of six inches and further amend it to read as follows:
"Noxious weeds shall be prohibited. Noxious weeds shall be defined as those plants that may give off a noxious odor and weeds listed as noxious by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, as well as bamboo, poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac. Weeds shall be defined as all grasses, annual plants and vegetation, other than trees or shrubs provided; however, this term does not include cultivated flowers and gardens, but does include overgrown brush, ground covers, bushes, shrubs, hedges or similar plantings. Dead vegetation and all trimmings shall be removed.
No vegetation, bushes or plants shall overhang, extend or grow from one property across the boundary line to another property without the written consent of the owner of the property onto which the vegetation extends, except for branches of trees more than 14 feet in height above the ground."
H. 
Section 304.14. Insert: April 1 to November 1.

Section 602.3. Change to: October 15 to May 15.

Section 602.4. Change to: October 15 to May 15.
All other ordinances or parts of laws in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this article is, for any reason, held to be unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this article. The Borough of Paxtang hereby declares that it would have passed this article, and each section, subsection, clause or phrase thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses and phrases be declared unconstitutional.
Nothing in this article or in the Property Maintenance Code hereby adopted shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding impending in any court, or any rights acquired, or liability incurred, or any cause or causes of action acquired or existing, under any act or ordinance hereby repealed as cited in § 310-7 of this article; nor shall any just or legal right or remedy of any character be lost, impaired or affected by this article.
This article, having been advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in the Borough of Paxtang not more than 60 days nor less than seven days prior to passage and a copy of the proposed ordinance having been available for public inspection pursuant to 53 P.S. § 56502.1, shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
