No person shall conduct any circus, carnival, exhibition, show or performance without a license.

A. 
Issuance. The Mayor, through the Village Clerk, shall issue all licenses required in § 33-1.
B. 
Information required. Any person desiring a license shall file a written application therefor with the Village Clerk which shall state:
(1) 
The name and address of the applicant.
(2) 
The period of time for which the license is required.
(3) 
The kind and character of the exhibition or show.
(4) 
The place where the exhibition or show is to be conducted.
(5) 
Evidence of public liability insurance in limits of not less than $1,000,000 combined single limit for both bodily injury to or death of any one or more persons and for damage to or destruction of property or, in the case of an amusement which offers the use of a mechanical ride or rides to the public, evidence of public liability insurance in limits of not less than $1,000,000 combined single limit for bodily injury to or death of any one or more persons and for damage to or destruction of property.[1]
(a) 
All insurance certificates shall include the Village of Dundee as an additional insured and shall be noncancelable without 15 days' prior written notice of cancellation to the Village Clerk.
(b) 
Evidence of an owners' and contractors' protective liability policy in limits of no less than $1,000,000 combined single limit, naming the Village of Dundee as the insured, shall be provided. The applicant shall provide the Village Clerk of the Village of Dundee with the original insurance policy for this coverage.
(c) 
The Village Clerk may require an applicant to supply additional insurance coverage where the minimum amounts stated herein are, in the opinion of the Village Clerk, insufficient for the risk undertaken.

(6) 
Such other information as may be required by the Mayor or Village Clerk.
C. 
Grounds for refusal. The Mayor may refuse to issue a license when, in his judgment, the exhibition or show is likely to disturb the peace and order of the Village or is immoral or improper.
D. 
Fees. The license fees which shall be paid prior to issuance of the license shall be as follows:
(1) 
Circuses: $50 per day.
(2) 
Carnivals, exhibitions, shows and performances: $25 per day.

A violation of any provision of this chapter shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $250 and/or a maximum of 15 days' imprisonment, except where penalties established by statute apply. Each day that any such violation shall continue shall constitute a separate violation.
