It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to burn brush, lumber, paper products, plastic, tires, chemicals, trash, garbage, refuse, leaves, straw or other combustible material in any street, alley, lot or vacant plot of land within the Village of Dundee.
There will be no open burning within the Village of Dundee including burn barrel, fire ring, pit, fireplaces or any other container without a chimney, spark arrester or cover. Only firewood can be burned in a container with a chimney, spark arrester or cover.
Outdoor cooking will only be permitted on food cooking grills, BBQ pits, or cooking fireplaces.
All outdoor solid fuel burning furnaces are prohibited within the Village of Dundee limits.
Firewood should be cut in lengths appropriate to the wood burning device and stacked in a neat and orderly fashion in rear or side of structure.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable by a fine of a minimum of $25 up to the maximum penalty of $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both.
