A permit shall be obtained from the Fire Commissioner for the use
of acetylene or other fuel gases in connection with welding and cutting
if the acetylene or other fuel gas is supplied to work areas or consuming
devices as follows:

No permit shall be issued unless there is compliance with this chapter
and the New York Uniform Code and unless the permit fee is paid.
It shall be unlawful to manufacture acetylene in the City of
Yonkers.
