A permit is required and may be obtained from the Fire Prevention Division for the installation of any wood-, coal-, or pellet-burning stove not otherwise affecting the structural integrity of any structure or altering the condition of any structure.

A permit is required and may be obtained from the Building Department for the installation of any wood-, coal- or pellet-burning stove where the alteration of any structure or the addition to any structure is required in order to install such wood- or coal-burning stove.
Wood-, coal- or pellet-burning stoves shall be constructed or maintained in such a manner so as not to create a hazardous condition.
