Township of Newtown, PA Chapter 15 Environmental Advisory Council

§ 15-1 Establishment.

The Environmental Advisory Council of Newtown Township is hereby established.

§ 15-2 Composition; appointment.

The Council shall consist of no fewer than three and no more than seven members, to be appointed by the Board of Supervisors from time to time, or at the annual meeting.

§ 15-3 Terms of office; Chairman.

Members shall serve terms of three years, unless otherwise determined by the Supervisors. The Supervisors shall annually appoint a Chairman to serve at the pleasure of the Supervisors.

§ 15-4 Powers and duties.

The powers and duties of the Council shall be those as established by the authorizing statute, 53 Pa.C.S.A. § 2324, as it may be amended from time to time by the commonwealth, unless otherwise determined by the Board of Supervisors.

§ 15-5 Records; annual report.

The Environmental Advisory Council shall keep records of its meetings and shall make an annual report to the Township, which shall be published.
