This article shall apply to Goodwill Fire Company No. 1 of Jacobus
Borough, organized and existing in Jacobus Borough, York County, Pennsylvania
(the "Company").
A.
The Company is hereby authorized to provide such service in Jacobus
Borough (the "Borough") as may be necessary for the protection of
property and persons situate therein, including, but not limited to,
the extinguishment and prevention of loss of life and property from
fire, automobile accidents, medical emergencies, hazardous materials
incidents and other dangerous structures.
B.
The Company is also authorized to provide nonemergency and public
service functions, including, but not limited to, removing water from
property after storms and assisting in the removal, abatement and
prevention of damage or injury to persons or property, whether through
natural cause or man-made situations.
C.
The Company is also authorized to conduct and participate in such
training activities and drills, either within or outside of the Borough,
as may be deemed necessary by the officers of the Company to maintain
proficiency in providing service.
D.
The Company is also authorized to respond to calls and provide services
in and to municipalities outside of the Borough.
In addition to actually participating in the activities of the
Company as authorized above or in going to or returning from any activity,
the members of the Company are also authorized to do the following:
A.
Engage in any type of drill, training, ceremony, practice, test or
parade when duly called for or authorized by any officer or officers
of the Company.
B.
Engage in fund-raising activities for the Company when authorized
by an officer or officers of the Fire Company. The Company shall submit
annually a list of all authorized fund-raising activities for the
Company it wishes to be covered by workers' compensation insurance.
If, during the year, the Company wishes to amend or supplement this
list, it shall provide the Borough with the applicable document evidencing
the amendment or supplement so desired.
The purpose of this article is to state authorized activities
of firefighters of the Company for workers' compensation purposes.
This article shall not create any powers in Jacobus Borough to direct
the activities, decisions or policies of the Company, its employees
or volunteers.

A.
Junior firefighters of the Goodwill Fire Company No. 1 of Jacobus Borough (the "Company") shall be authorized to participate in those fund-raising activities as authorized by § 13-3B above of the Code of the Borough of Jacobus.
B.
The purpose
of this section is to state authorized activities of junior firefighters
of the Company for workers' compensation purposes.
