The Director of Public Safety and the Pennington Police Department are authorized as follows:
A. 
To take fingerprints of applicants and other persons required to be investigated in connection with qualification for Alcoholic Beverage Control licenses in the Borough of Pennington;
B. 
To submit such fingerprints to the Federal Bureau of Investigation or to the Division of State Police/State Bureau of Identification and to receive from these agencies criminal history record information concerning applicants and other persons required to be investigated in connection with qualification for Alcoholic Beverage Control licenses in the Borough of Pennington;
C. 
Conduct such investigations using the fingerprints and criminal history record information so obtained.
