The Suffolk County Police Department is hereby prohibited, pursuant
to Article XIII of the Suffolk County Charter, from soliciting individuals
under the age of 18 to participate in law enforcement lineup identification
events unless the written consent of the individual's parent
or legal guardian, sworn to in the presence of a notary public, has
first been obtained and placed in an indexed file at the Suffolk County
Police Department.
The provisions of the § 1047-4 of this article shall not apply to any individual who has been arrested as a suspect in the case for which the law enforcement lineup identification has been scheduled.
