The County of Suffolk hereby establishes a formal policy of
recognition of the volunteer members who sit on the numerous Suffolk
County boards and commissions, said members to be invited by the office
of the Presiding Officer of the County Legislature, each year, to
be publicly recognized at the second meeting of the full Legislature
in August each year for their voluntary contribution of time, energy
and/or expertise to the community.
This public recognition shall include the annual presentation
of a formal legislative pronouncement of recognition of such contribution
at the regularly scheduled second legislative meeting held in August
of each and every year hereafter.
