A Village of Sloan owned cell phone will be issued to a Village employee or Board member when required by that person’s job duties and as determined by the Board of Trustees. Any eligible employee who wishes to utilize his personal cell phone to conduct Village related business shall be reimbursed a monthly stipend, upon approval of the Board of Trustees. Stipend amount will be determined by the Board of Trustees.
A. 
The following rules shall apply regarding use of a Village owned cell phone:
(1) 
Any charges incurred above the assigned base plan coverage usage will be the responsibility of the individual issued the cell phone. All overages must be reimbursed to the Village within 30 days of notification. Base plans and charges incurred will be determined by the Board of Trustees.
(2) 
The cell phone may not be used by anyone other than the Village employee.
(3) 
The cell phone is to be used for the conduct of Village business. Personal use should be limited and without long distance charges.
(4) 
No calls shall be authorized to international numbers, 900 numbers or other similar numbers.
B. 
If opting to utilize a personal owned cell phone for Village business, requests for monthly reimbursement must be accompanied by a signed voucher and copy of the current monthly billing statement. This voucher must be presented to the Village Board for approval of claim.
