Editor's Note: This ordinance also provided that a building permit shall be required for construction of any fence.
A. 
Masonry fences or masonry walls. Masonry fences or walls three feet high or less, above grade, are permitted.
B. 
Fences on interior lots. Fences, other than masonry fences six feet high or less, above grade, are permitted, with the exception that within 24 feet of any street right-of-way and/or within the established front yard setback, fences four feet high or less, above grade, are permitted.
C. 
Fences on corner lots.
(1) 
Front yards. For front yards, fences shall be permitted in accordance with the requirements for fences in interior lots.
(2) 
Side and rear yards. For side and rear yards, fences four feet high or less, above grade, shall be permitted in the area bounded by the street right-of-way and by a line extending perpendicular from the street right-of-way line to the corner of the dwelling farthest from the intersection of the street right-of-way lines. Fences six feet high or less, above grade, are permitted in the remaining side and rear yard areas.
(3) 
On corner lots, any fence within 24 feet of the intersection of the street rights-of-way shall not in any way or manner obstruct or obscure by virtue of height or construction the line of sight of vehicular or pedestrian traffic.
Fences six feet high or less, above grade, shall be permitted at any location, except as otherwise set forth.
In all zoning districts, at any point of entry from a driveway onto a public street or right-of-way, nothing more than four feet high, above grade, shall be erected, placed, planted or allowed to grow within the triangular area eight feet on either side of the driveway along the street right-of-way line and eight feet along either side of the driveway perpendicular to the street right-of-way line.
All fences facing a street shall be constructed with the finished side exposed to the street. In the case of side yard and rear yard fences, the finished side may face either direction except when regulated by the New Jersey Construction Code for swimming pools.
