It shall be unlawful for any person over the age of 18 to assist, aid, abet, allow, permit, suffer or encourage a student to register or enroll in the Kittatinny Regional High School District and the Fredon Township School District as if a resident of the Township of Fredon when the student is ineligible to attend.
It shall be unlawful for any person over the age of 18 to knowingly permit his or her name, address or other residence-designating documentation to be falsely utilized in the registration or enrollment of any nonresident student as if a resident of the Township of Fredon in the Kittatinny Regional High School District and Fredon Township School District.
Any person violating or failing to comply with the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to make restitution to the Township of Fredon or the Fredon Township Board of Education or the Kittatinny Regional High School Board of Education and pay a fine of not more than $1,000. In determining the amount of restitution, the Court shall include the amounts incurred by the Township of Fredon and/or the Township of Fredon Board of Education, including but not limited to tuition, costs, investigation expenses and attorneys' fees.
Restitution ordered by the Fredon Township Municipal Court may be converted into a lien against the property of the offending party.
