The provisions of this chapter imposing a time limit on parking
shall not relieve any person of the duty to observe other and more
restrictive provisions prohibiting or limiting the stopping, standing
or parking of vehicles as set forth in N.J.S.A. 39:4-138, any other
New Jersey statute or as hereinafter provided.
No person shall park a vehicle at any time on any of the streets
or parts thereof described in Schedule I, attached to and made a part
of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle between the hours specified in
Schedule II of any day, except Sundays and public holidays, on any
of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule II, attached
to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle longer than the time limit shown
in Schedule III at any time between the hours listed in Schedule III
of any day, except Sundays and public holidays, on any of the streets
or parts of streets described in Schedule III, attached to and made
a part of this chapter.

A. No person shall park a truck, tractor, trailer, omnibus, or construction
equipment which has a gross vehicle weight rating of more than eight
tons or which has more than one rear axle, four tires or is greater
than seven feet in width on any public street or roadway or part of
any street described in Schedule IV, attached to and made a part of
this chapter, between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
B. Specifically exempted from this section are vehicles belonging to
the Borough of Spotswood Department of Roads and Utility and all emergency
service vehicles.
C. The word "omnibus" shall be defined as any commercial vehicle designed
to transport a number of individuals from one location to another.
The provisions of this article shall not apply to vehicles used
by a public utility, as defined in N.J.S.A. 48:2-13, in connection
with the supply of the services which by law the utility is authorized
to furnish.
No person shall stop or stand a vehicle upon any of the streets
or parts of streets described in Schedule VIII, attached to and made
a part of this chapter.
No person shall load or unload any truck tractor trailer or
refrigerated vehicle on any street or parking lot located in a C-2
Zone between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

A. No person shall park a vehicle at any time on any of the streets
or parts of streets designated in Schedule XVI, attached to and made
a part of this chapter unless:
(1) The vehicle is owned or operated on a regular basis by a resident
of that street;
(2) The vehicle has displayed on its left rear window, in such a manner
as to be closely examined by a police officer, a current residential
parking permit; and
(3) The vehicle falls under one of the exceptions of the parking ban set forth in Subsection
B below.
B. The following vehicles shall be exempt from the parking restrictions
of this section:
(1) Contractor's, service and delivery vehicles. Contractor's, service
and delivery vehicles bearing the name and address of a commercial
business may park without a permit during the time they are rendering
the service to the residents within the permit parking area.
(2) Emergency vehicles. Emergency vehicles and public service, telephone
and other public utility motor vehicles may park within the permit
parking area during the time they are rendering services or repairs
within the area.
C. Residential parking permits shall be issued to persons residing on
the streets or parts of streets designated in Schedule XV on forms
provided by the Borough Clerk's office, provided that no more than
five permits shall be issued for each residential dwelling unit. Permits
shall be transferable on a temporary basis between residents of the
streets or parts of streets designated in Schedule XV.
