Editor's Note: This local law was adopted as Ch. 92-A,
but was renumbered in order to maintain the alphabetical organization
of the Code.
The discharge of fireworks is prohibited at any time without
a fireworks permit.
The Town of Athens hereby appoints its Code Enforcement Officer
(CEO) as the officer designated to receive applications for and to
issue permits for the public display of fireworks in the Town of Athens
in accordance with all the applicable provisions of §§ 270.00
and 405.00 of the Penal Law of the State of New York.
The fee to the Town of Athens for such permit shall be set from
time to time by resolution of the Town Board, payable in advance by
the applicant.
