By authority of the resolution adopted by the Board of Trustees
on the seventh day of May 1962, pursuant to the provisions of Article
7 of the Village Law, the Planning Board of the Village of Liverpool
is empowered and authorized to approve plats within the Village of
Liverpool.
The purpose of this chapter is to provide for orderly, efficient
growth within the community and to afford adequate facilities for
the transportation, housing, comfort, convenience, safety, health
and welfare of its population pursuant to the following objectives:
A. Land to be subdivided and developed shall be of such character that
it can be used safely for building purposes without danger to health
or safety, or peril from flood or other menace.
B. Provisions shall be made for adequate water supply, drainage, sewerage
and other needed improvements and utilities according to acceptable
engineering principals.
C. Proposed development shall be designed in harmony with the development
pattern of adjacent properties.
D. Development shall be provide for adequate fire and emergency services
access and fire hydrants for fire protection.
E. Provisions shall be made for protection of natural drainage and significant
historical and/or environmental features.
Application filing, consulting, environmental quality review,
inspection, fixed or other reasonable fees sufficient to recover cost
incurred by the Village of Liverpool may be charged. Such fees shall
be set by resolution of the Board of Trustees.
