It is the declared intent of this article to give direction
to the Town Treasurer to receive and disburse Town money. Further
it is the declared intent that this policy shall be in full force
and effect upon adoption by the Town with the purpose of complying
with § 60.34, Wis. Stats.
This article is adopted pursuant to the authority granted to
Town Boards under § 70.67, Wis. Stats., to obligate the
Town of Milton to pay, in case the Treasurer thereof shall fail so
to do, all taxes of any kind required by law to be paid by such Treasurer
to the County Treasurer. Therefore, the Treasurer of the municipality
shall not be required to give any additional bond for tax collection.
