A. The City Engineer shall have the power to cause numbers of regular
series to be affixed or inscribed on all dwelling houses and other
buildings erected or fronting on any street, lane, alley or public
court in the City.

B. A street address number will not be assigned for any new structure,
or a new entrance to an existing structure, until a mortgage inspection
plan or other suitable plot plan (with the location of the structure
shown thereon), certified by a registered land surveyor, has been
placed on file in the office of the City Engineer.
A. All numbers shall be made of permanent, weatherproof materials, in
contrasting color, shall be at least three inches in height, and shall
be clearly visible from the street or roadway upon which the structure
fronts.
B. Any structure that is not visible from the street or roadway shall
have the assigned number posted on a suitable support at the entrance
to the driveway that services such structure.
C. The numbers posted shall be those assigned to each structure by the
City Engineer and filed with the City Assessor and City Clerk.
D. It shall be the responsibility of each property owner in the City
to obtain, display, and maintain the assigned street number within
90 days of passage of this chapter.
The penalty for violation of this chapter shall be a fine of
$20 for the first and each subsequent offense.
