The public parking lots or areas presently existing (including
the area and wall located between the West Street Parking Lot and
the sidewalk adjacent thereto on the north side of West Street) and
any such parking lots or areas that may be established hereafter shall
be used for parking purposes only. Any person within the confines
of such parking lots or areas who is not using such lot or area for
parking purposes or for access or egress to and from motor vehicles
shall be considered a trespasser as so defined by the General Laws
of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Upon passage of this article, the public parking lots or areas
shall be posted with conspicuous signs indicating in substance that
said lots or areas are for parking purposes only and that violators
may be prosecuted as trespassers.
Any violation of the provisions of this article shall be subject
to the penalties provided by MGL c. 266, § 120.
