The provisions of this article shall apply to those chapters
of the Code of the Village of Liverpool, hereafter referred to as
the "Village Code," where no specific procedure exists for issuance
of violation notices and orders or as an alternative method of issuing
notices and orders for the following chapters of the Village Code:
A. Chapter
156, Uniform Construction Codes.
B. Chapter
133, Building Identification.
C. Chapter
205, Flood Damage Prevention.
E. Chapter
302, Smoke Detectors.
F. Chapter
360, Vehicles, Abandoned.
Violation notices and orders shall be in writing, shall identify
the property or premises, shall specify the violation(s) and remedial
action to be taken, shall specify a reasonable time limit for compliance
and shall state the time limit within which and the process by which
an appeal may be taken.
Violation notices and orders may be served by personal service;
by mailing by certified mail; or by posting a copy thereof in a conspicuous
place upon the premises affected and mailing a copy thereof to the
premises on the same day as posted, enclosed and addressed to the
owner and/or other responsible person thereof.
