The position of Golf Course Manager/Superintendent is hereby created by the Borough of Paramus.
A. 
Supervises the operation, maintenance, repair, construction, and cleaning of a golf course and its facilities.
B. 
Supervises starters, rangers, cashiers, caddie, and maintenance personnel.
C. 
Is responsible for the supervision of the collection of fees and their remittance to proper officials.
D. 
Manages the contracts for the operation of the golf course restaurant and pro shop.
E. 
May organize and conduct tournaments.
F. 
May advise on the construction, reconstruction, and maintenance of the Paramus Golf Course.
G. 
Is responsible for the supervision, preparation and maintenance of records and files.
H. 
Provides for the safety of the public through visitor protection practices.
I. 
Participates in the recruitment, selection, supervision, and training of personnel.
J. 
Prepares and carries out an effective safety program for personnel.
K. 
Recommends the selection of specified equipment for the maintenance and operation of the golf course.
L. 
Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.
M. 
Gives assignments and instructions to employees.
N. 
Prepares requisitions and receives, accounts for, and issues materials and supplies.
O. 
Participates in the preparation of plans and specifications for construction improvements to the golf course.
P. 
Prepares annual budget proposals and administers an approved budget.
Q. 
Administers a golf course in a manner that reflects sound budgetary practice, agency policy, and efficient use of personnel.
R. 
Ensures proper use and care of equipment, materials, and supplies.
S. 
Will be required to learn to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the agency, office, or related units.
