Henceforth, any law to the contrary notwithstanding, all ordinances
duly adopted by the Town of Poestenkill in accordance with the law
of the State of New York, and which require publication in one or
more newspapers as required by law to render such ordinance effectual,
may be published in such newspaper or newspapers by the publication
of a summary statement of the text of such adopted ordinance in lieu
of the publication of the entire text thereof, and by publication
of a notice stating that the whole of such ordinance is on file with
the Town Clerk of the Town of Poestenkill, further provided that a
copy of such whole ordinance is kept on file with the Town Clerk of
the Town of Poestenkill during the period of such publication. Nothing
herein contained shall dispense with any posting of such ordinance
which is or may be required or permitted by law.
