All streets and roads shall have a minimum width of 50 feet, provided that, where a width of 50 feet shall be impractical or cause undue hardship, a lesser width may be approved by a majority vote of the Board.
All dead-end streets shall have a turnaround with a minimum diameter of 100 feet.
Survey monuments consisting of three-foot-long, three-fourths-inch-diameter iron rods driven to grade and concreted 18 inches below grade shall be located at bends, at corners and wherever directed by the Village Board and the Village Superintendent of Streets.
A. 
Prior to the acceptance of the street by the village, the right-of-way shall be cleared of all trees, buildings or other obstructions in accordance with the directions of the Superintendent of Streets and the Village Board.
B. 
The right-of-way shall be cut or filled and graded full width.
C. 
The right-of-way grade shall not exceed 10%, and a sight view of 200 feet shall be maintained.
The right-of-way shall be graded or improved with pavements in accordance with the minimum street specifications of the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson, as amended.
A. 
Elevations will be maintained for proper water drainage.
B. 
Culverts of proper size will be installed by the developer where determined necessary by the Village Superintendent of Streets and the Village Board.
C. 
Where no curbs are used, all ditches alongside the road will be blacktopped for the full length of each side of the road where the grade is 2% or greater.
D. 
Leaching basins will not be allowed without the specific permission of the Village Superintendent of Streets and the Village Board.
E. 
Easements for drainage shall be supplied when deemed necessary by the Village Board and the Village Superintendent of Streets.
Where curbs are used, the same shall be placed 10 feet from the side line of the right-of-way in anticipation of future sidewalk installations.
A. 
All streets shall be named by the Village Board. Street signs of a type approved by the Village Superintendent of Streets and the Village Board shall be installed.
B. 
Lots should bear street numbers with odd numbers on one side and even numbers on the other side to facilitate mail delivery for future owners. The numbering should be done in accordance with the postal authorities' recommendations.
All road work wherein it is proposed a road shall be taken over by the village shall be subject to inspection by the Village Superintendent of Streets and the Village Board.
Water mains, hydrants, sewer lines or drainage systems, as the case may be, shall be installed under the direction of the village or in accordance with the specifications of the village and the state prior to acceptance.
When plans for development are filed in the County Clerk's office, a set showing street, water, sewer and utility layouts, or so much as may apply, shall be filed with the Village Clerk.
Utility poles shall all be located within the right-of-way of the streets.
A. 
When an owner believes that a proposed street will meet specifications, a letter requesting the acceptance of the street and naming the street, together with a legal description of the proposed street, shall be submitted to the Village Board.
B. 
The Village Clerk will notify the owner in writing:
(1) 
Whether the proposed street or any part is acceptable.
(2) 
If any or all of the street is not acceptable, what condition must be met by the owner.
(3) 
The amount of fee, if any, set by the Village Board to cover engineering and legal expenses in connection with acceptance of the street.
(4) 
Upon notice that a street is acceptable, the owner shall dedicate the street by furnishing a full covenant warranty deed for the street, a proposed resolution of acceptance by the village, a proposed order laying out the street by the Village Superintendent of Streets, any easement or bond required and any fee required.
(5) 
Upon acceptance, the Village Clerk will notify the owner in writing.
