[Adopted 12-5-1961 by Ord. No. 59 (Ch. XVIII, Part 2, of the 1973 Borough Code)]
It shall be unlawful for any person, whether individual, firm or corporation, to discharge or permit to be discharged any roof water, cellar water or drainage of any kind or description whatever from his property onto the legal right-of-way of any street, road or public thoroughfare of the Borough of New Britain in such a manner as to cause damage to any such street, road or public thoroughfare or as to create or tend to create a hazardous condition thereon, and the maintenance of any property in such manner as to discharge or permit to be discharged any roof water, cellar water or drainage as aforesaid is hereby declared to constitute a nuisance.

Any person, whether individual, firm or corporation, violating any provision of this article, shall, for each and every such violation, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine not more than $600 and costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment for not more than 30 days. Provided: each day's violation of any provision of this article shall constitute a separate violation.
