Town of Webb, NY Article I Undocumented Vessels

§ 190-1 Towing of recreational devices prohibited.

No person shall operate an undocumented vessel for the purpose of pulling or towing a person on water skis, surfboard, or other device commonly towed or pulled behind a motorboat or vessel for recreational purposes at any time within Old Forge Lake or the channel running from Old Forge Lake to First Lake. Waterskiing, riding a surfboard or other recreational device behind a powerboat in Old Forge Lake or the channel running between Old Forge Lake and First Lake is hereby prohibited.

§ 190-2 Discharge of sewage and other waste into water prohibited.

No undocumented vessel shall discharge sewage, garbage, effluent, or human waste into any lake or navigable water located in the Town of Webb.

§ 190-3 Penalties for offenses.

A. Violations of § 190-1 of this article shall be an offense, punishable by a fine of not less than $5 and not more than $250 or by imprisonment for not exceeding 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

B. Violations of § 190-2 of this article shall be an offense, punishable by a fine of not less than $5 and not more than $500 or by imprisonment for not exceeding 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

§ 190-4 Definitions.

As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:

UNDOCUMENTED VESSEL

Includes a vessel commonly known as a "houseboat" and every vessel or floating craft propelled in any manner other than by hand, except vessels having a valid marine document issued by the Federal Bureau of Customs or any foreign government.
