This article shall create the Office of Fire Marshal of New
Britain Borough and describe the duties of the office.
The Borough Council of New Britain Borough shall by majority
vote annually appoint the Fire Marshal at the reorganization meeting.
The Council shall have the authority to appoint deputy marshals as
required.
The Fire Marshal shall investigate all fires occurring within
the Borough and shall promptly report his findings to the Borough
Council.
The Fire Marshal shall enforce the New Britain Borough basic
fire prevention code and all other Borough ordinances as they relate
to fire prevention and firesafety and he shall make such written reports
as are required and file such citations as are necessary to enforce
the Borough ordinances.
