As used in this Part 1, the following terms shall have the meanings
indicated:
Refers to the numbered specifications of the American National
Standards Institute, as revised at the time work is to be performed.
Refers to the numbered specifications of the American Water
Works Association, being the latest published specifications at the
time work is to be performed.
The Mayor and Village Board of the Village of Red Hook, which
persons are also the governing body of the Red Hook Water District.
The Zoning Administrator, as duly appointed by the Village
Board.

The owner or resident of the premises supplied or furnished
with water.
The Red Hook Water District.
The pipes of the water district systems conveying water along
the streets of such district.
The Engineer for the district, or his authorized deputy,
agent or representative.
The Water District of the Village of Red Hook.
The legal owner of the real estate to be improved or to which
water service is provided or to be provided or such person designated
as his agent, in writing, to the district.
The engineer of record with reference to the water system
private modifications proposed.
The pipe and attachments of every kind and nature thereto
connecting the district main with the house piping. The service pipe
or service line is the property of and responsibility of the customer.
The Superintendent of the Red Hook Water District, as duly
appointed by the Village Board or the operator of the water supply
system under contract with the district.
