In order to continue to operate the Village Water Department at a level that is acceptable and in compliance with NYS and Dutchess County Department of Health requirements and provide the necessary level of maintenance we set the following rates to reflect the meter conversion from cubic feet to gallons of consumption, along with other fees needing codification. The rate set forth below shall become effective for the billing quarter commencing October 1, 2013. The Village Board may thereafter, by adoption of a fee schedule, amend the rates for water service to ensure financial stability in the water department.

Town of Red Hook rates will be double of the Village fees quoted above.

Water customers will be charged water use rates quoted above for all consumption including pool filling.

Tapping.

Tapping fee: see application: $2,500.

Tapping with road cutting/crossing involvement: +$500.
(c) 
Tapping within sidewalk: +$500.
(4) 
Customer-requested turn off and on: $50.
(a) 
Emergency turn off and on (outside of normal hours of operation): $100.
(5) 
Location of waterlines requested by owner [except for the case of a utility locating service request (e.g., DigSafe/UDig NY)]: $50.
(6) 
Water meter read requested by owner: $50.
(7) 
Customers not in compliance with radio read meter, manual reading charge: $50.
(8) 
Electrical power surcharge: none.
(9) 
Late penalty: 5% if not paid within 30 days, additional 5% if not paid in 60 days.
(10) 
Bounced check fee: $25.
