A. 
Words and phrases defined. Whenever any words and phrases are used in this chapter, the meanings ascribed to them in N.J.S.A. 39:1-1 et seq. shall apply.
B. 
Official time standard. Any time specified in this chapter shall mean either Eastern standard time or Eastern daylight saving time as may be in current use.
C. 
Burlington County highway numbering system. Whenever it is necessary to refer to a Burlington County road number, the following designations shall apply:

Beverly-Rancocas Road for its entire length
CR 629
Levitt Parkway from Route 130 to Charleston Road (CR 630)
CR 630
Charleston Road from Route 130 to Levitt Parkway, then Levitt Parkway to the Westampton Township line
CR 633
John F. Kennedy Way from the Burlington Township line to Beverly-Rancocas Road (CR 626)
CR 634
Sunset Road from the Burlington Township line to Charleston Road

Bridge Street from Beverly-Rancocas Road (CR 626) to the Rancocas Creek

A. 
The Township Manager, or, in the absence, disability or inability of the Township Manager to act, the Deputy Township Manager, or, in the absence, disability or inability of the Deputy Township Manager to act, the Director of Public Safety, is hereby authorized, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:67-16.9, to provide by regulation for the closing of any street or portion thereof to motor vehicle traffic on any day or days or during specified hours on any day or days whenever the Manager or Director finds that the closing is necessary for the preservation of the public safety, health or welfare.[1]

B. 
Any regulations promulgated in accordance with Subsection A of this section shall provide for the posting of proper warning signs of the closing on any street or portion thereof during the time that the street is closed.
A. 
Whenever a vehicle is left standing or parked in violation of N.J.S.A. 39:1-1 et seq. or of this chapter or so as to obstruct or impede a normal flow of traffic, block entrances or exitways, loading zones, oil fills, pedestrian walkways or to present in any way a safety or traffic hazard, any police officer of the Township may remove or secure the removal of the vehicle to a place designated by the Director of Public Safety for the impounding of vehicles, and the vehicles shall be retained and impounded there until the person or persons owning the vehicle shall pay the cost of removal, together with storage charges.
B. 
Within two business days after a vehicle has been removed, the Director of Public Safety shall arrange for written notice to be given to the registered owner of the vehicle by personal service or by mailing the notice by certified mail addressed to the owner at the owner's last known address as shown on the motor vehicle registration.
