Village Law § 3-300 authorizes the Board of Trustees of a village, in lieu of any residency requirements imposed by law, to require that the Village Attorney may reside within the county in which the village is wholly or partially situate.
No person shall be eligible to hold the office of Village Attorney of the Village of Bath, New York, unless said person shall be a resident of Steuben County, New York.
