The following terms, whenever used in this chapter, the singular of any term to include the plural, shall be deemed to mean and include:
PERSON
Any natural person, firm, copartnership, association or corporation.
REFRIGERATOR or ICE BOX or OTHER CONTAINER
Any box or container large enough for a child to enter, having doors which, when closed, cannot be opened from the inside and which has no other means for the admission of air adequate to sustain human life.
It shall be unlawful for any person to leave outside any building or dwelling or other place accessible to children any refrigerator, ice box or other container unless the same shall be protected against entry by any children or unless the snap lock or other closing device is first removed.
A. 
Any person, firm or corporation who or which violates any provision of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to a fine of not less than $10 nor more than $100 or to imprisonment for a period of not less than one day nor more than six months, or both such fine and imprisonment. The imposition of any penalties for any violation of this chapter shall not excuse the violation or permit it to continue.
B. 
The application of the above penalty or penalties or the prosecution of the violation of the provisions of this chapter shall not be held to prevent the enforced removal of conditions prohibited by this chapter. When a violation of any of the provisions of this chapter is continuous, each 24 hours thereof shall constitute a separate and distinct violation.
