The owner or occupant of any lot or parcel shall promptly, each day, remove all snow and ice which may have fallen or accumulated upon the sidewalk in front of such lot or parcel; provided that when ice has so formed that it cannot be removed, the owner or occupant shall keep the same sprinkled with material which will prevent the sidewalk from being dangerous to pedestrians. If the owner or occupant fails to comply with this article, the Highway Superintendent shall cause the snow or ice to be removed or sprinkled as required in this article and the cost thereof to be assessed against the property as a special charge.
A. 
No person shall cause to be deposited snow or ice from his private or public driveways or parking lots or extensions thereof onto any traveled portion of streets or driveways, private or public, except his own private premises.
B. 
Subsection A above shall not apply to Town highway crews.
Except as otherwise provided, any person found to be in violation of any provision of this article shall be subject to a penalty as provided in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article I, of the Town Code.
