[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the Township of Upper Chichester 11-30-1954 by Ord. No. 83; amended in its entirety 11-17-1987 by Ord. No. 456 (Ch. 10, Part 2, of the 1987 Code of Ordinances). Amendments noted where applicable.]

No person, firm or corporation shall leave or permit to remain, at any place out of doors within the Township of Upper Chichester, or within any unoccupied or abandoned building within said Township under the control of such person, firm or corporation, any abandoned, discarded or unattended ice box, refrigerator or other container having an airtight door or lid, and having a locking or latching device of any kind which cannot be released from inside such ice box, refrigerator or other container.
No refrigerator, freezer and/or other similar storage chest shall be discarded, abandoned or stored in any place or location which is accessible to the general public until first completely removing any and all locking devices and/or doors.

Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $1,000, together with the costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, shall be subject to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 30 days. Every day that a violation of this chapter continues shall constitute a separate offense.
