A. 
Definition. In this section, "firearm" shall mean a weapon that acts by force of gunpowder.
B. 
No person, except a law enforcement officer in the line of duty, shall fire or discharge any firearm within the Village except as set forth in Subsection C.
C. 
This section shall not prevent:
(1) 
The discharge of a firearm if the discharge is exempted from ordinance enforcement pursuant to Wis. Stats. § 66.0409(3) because of privilege or otherwise.
(2) 
The maintenance and use of supervised rifle or pistol ranges or shooting galleries authorized by the Village Board.
(3) 
The firing or discharging of BB, spring or air guns by persons over 16 or under the direct personal supervision of a parent or guardian on private property if the use is contained entirely within the private property and no BB, pellet, paintball or other ammunition is discharged onto public property or the property of another.
(4) 
The discharge of blanks from a firearm during an officially sanctioned parade, a funeral or similar event.
D. 
This section shall be deemed to prohibit discharging a firearm within the Village, provided that the Police Department may issue written permits to owners or occupants of private premises to hunt or shoot on such premises if it finds such privilege necessary for the protection of life or property and subject to such safeguards as it may impose for the safety of the lives and property of other persons within the Village.

No person shall shoot any arrow or throw any object, stone, snowball or other missile or projectile by hand or by any other means at any other person or at, in or into any building, street, sidewalk, alley, highway, motor vehicle, park, playground or other public place within the Village. This section does not prohibit the use of bows or crossbows and arrows, or other missiles, on private property if the use is contained entirely within the private property and no arrow or other missile enters public property or the property of another.
Any person who shall violate any provision of this chapter, or any regulation, rule or order made hereunder, shall be subject to a penalty as provided in Chapter 1, Article II, of this Municipal Code.
