It shall be unlawful to nail, tack, hang or otherwise append a sign, notice or advertisement of any kind whatsoever on any tree, post, pole, utility pole, stake or pillar of any description within the limits of the Borough of West Mifflin, except on private lots, and then only by written permission of the owner, or to permit any such sign, notice or advertisement to remain on such tree, post, pole or pillar of any description for more than 10 days after the passing of this article.
Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $600, plus costs, and, in default of payment of said fine and costs, to a term of imprisonment not to exceed 30 days. Each day that a violation of this article continues shall constitute a separate offense.
