[Adopted 12-16-1991 by L.L. No. 7-1991 (Ch. 32, Art. II, of the 1971 Code)]
The intent of this article is to provide the Village of Buchanan with the means to enforce county and town ordinances as they apply within the Village limits.
Whenever the County of Westchester or the Town of Cortlandt declares a temporary emergency situation or enacts legislation which is specifically applicable to the villages within the territorial limits of the county or the Town of Cortlandt, the Village Trustees may, at either a regular meeting or special meeting, pass a resolution which would incorporate the terms of the county or town ordinances into the Code of the Village of Buchanan for all purposes and during the term of the county or town ordinance, as the case may be.
The enforcement provisions as well as the other provisions of the county or town ordinance, as the case may be, shall also become the enforcement provision for the Village and may be prosecuted or enforced by the appropriate Village authorities in the appropriate legal forum.
This article shall not supersede any other provision of the Code of the Village of Buchanan.
