The purpose of this article is to provide for the convenience,
protection and safety of the public using Township roads during winter
storms.
This article is enacted under authority of the Second Class
Township Code, 53 P.S. §§ 66601, 67308 and 67328.
This article applies to all persons and vehicles using or on
the roads identified herein.
A.
Within 60 days of the effective date of this article, the Township
shall post notice of snow/ice restricted parking on the roads, or
portions thereof, identified herein: White Run Lane, Spring Creek
Circle, Robin Circle, Vicki Circle, and White Road.
B.
On any road, or portion thereof, posted with notice of snow/ice restricted
parking, no vehicle of any type may be parked or remain parked anywhere
within the road right-of-way (including, but not limited to, the travelway
and improved shoulders) once snow and/or ice has begun to accumulate
on the road.
Any person violating any of the terms of this article shall,
upon conviction in a summary proceeding, be subject to a fine not
to exceed $500 or be less than $100 for each offense, as hereinafter
set forth, costs of prosecution and in default of payment of such
fines and costs, imprisonment for a period not exceeding 30 days.
