That certain document entitled the "BOCA Basic Property Maintenance Code/1978, First Edition," as published by the Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc., copies of which are on file in the office of the Borough Secretary of the Borough of Mount Union, with such changes, additions and insertions as set out in § 250-2 of this article, is hereby adopted as the Property Maintenance Code of the Borough of Mount Union, for the control of buildings and structures as therein provided, and each and all of the provisions contained in the said Property Maintenance Code, with the changes, additions and insertions hereinabove referred to, are hereby adopted and made a part of this article as if fully set out herein.
The BOCA Basic Property Maintenance Code is hereby amended and
changed in the following respects:
A.
Appendix B-1.5 of the said code is hereby amended to read:
B-1.5 Application of Chapter 330, Zoning. Nothing in this code shall permit the establishment or conversion of a multifamily dwelling in any zone, except where permitted by Chapter 330, Zoning, of the Code of the Borough of Mount Union, or the continuation of any conforming use, except as provided therein.

B.
Section PM-104.5 of the said code is hereby amended to read:
PM-104.5 Coordination of enforcement. Inspection
of premises and the issuing of orders in connection therewith shall
be the responsibility of the Code Enforcement Officer of the Borough
of Mount Union. Whenever, in the opinion of the Code Enforcement Officer,
it is deemed necessary or desirable to have any inspection of any
conditions by any other official of the municipality, he shall arrange
for this to be done in such manner that the owners or occupants of
buildings shall not be subjected to visits by numerous inspectors
or to multiple or conflicting orders. No order for correction of any
violation under this code shall be issued without the approval of
the Code Enforcement Officer, and it shall be his responsibility,
before issuing any such order, to determine that it has the concurrence
of any other official of the municipality concerned with any other
matter involved in the case in question.

C.
Section PM-109.2 of the said code is hereby amended to read:
PM-109.2 Penalty. Any person violating any provision
of this code shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a
fine of not more than $300, and costs of prosecution, or, in default
of payment of such fine and costs, to undergo imprisonment for not
more than 30 days, provided that each violation of any provision of
this article, and each day the same is continued, shall be deemed
a separate offense.

D.
The first sentence only of Section PM-110.2 of the said code is hereby amended to read: "The Appeal Board provided for in the Building Code (See Chapter 130.) shall serve as Appeal Board under this code, with the duty, responsibility and authority to decide the matters referred to it under the provisions of this code." All remaining material in the said section shall remain in effect as published therein.
E.
Section PM-100.0 of the said code is hereby amended by adding the
following provisions at the end thereof:
