A.
Any owner of a limousine(s) who has a principal place of business
in the Township shall be required to file an application and obtain
a limousine owner's license from the Township Clerk. Upon receipt
of the application, insurance policy and payment of the required fees,
the Clerk shall issue a license showing that the owner of the limousine
has complied with the terms and provisions of this chapter. The original
license shall be retained within the limousine and be available for
inspection upon request by any law enforcement officer.
B.
Any owner of a limousine who desires to provide service on a point-to-point
basis within the Township shall be required to file an application
and obtain a limousine owner's license from the Township Clerk.
Upon receipt and approval of the application and payment of the required
fees, the Clerk shall issue a license showing that the owner of the
limousine has complied with the terms and provisions of this chapter.
The original license shall be retained within the limousine and be
available for inspection upon request by any law enforcement officer.
C.
The number of licenses authorized by the Township shall be 25; however,
the Township shall not be required to issue all authorized licenses.
Each license issued hereunder shall expire on the following March
31. Fees shall not be prorated.
Each applicant for a new or renewal limousine owner's license
shall submit the following information to the Township Clerk on the
approved form:
A.
Name of the applicant and the principal place of business.
B.
The location of the dispatcher.
C.
Whether previously licensed to operate a vehicle for hire and where;
whether such license to operate has ever been revoked, and if so,
for what cause.
D.
If an individual, the applicant must be at least 21 years of age
and provide present primary residential address.
E.
If a corporation or partnership, the company name, main office and
branch office locations.
(1)
If a corporation, the state of incorporation; the names and primary
residential addresses of all officers and directors; their citizenship
status; and a list of all stockholders who hold more than 10% of the
corporate stock.
(2)
If a partnership, the names and primary residential addresses of
each partner.
F.
Every application shall contain the following information about each
vehicle to be used as part of the business being licensed:

File with the Township an insurance policy from a company duly licensed
to transact business in the State of New Jersey with the minimum amount
of $1,500,000 against any loss by reason of liability imposed by law
upon every limousine owner for damages on account of bodily injury
or death suffered by a person as a result of an accident occurring
by reason of ownership, maintenance or use of the limousine upon any
public street.
H.
Any application for a new or renewal license which is not completed
within 60 days from the receipt of the application shall be denied
and no license shall be issued.
The limousine owner's license shall be renewed from year
to year. The applicant shall file an application for a renewal limousine
owner's license not less than 30 days preceding the expiration
date.
