A. 
Unless another penalty is specifically provided for in Subsection B below, any person who shall violate any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $50 and costs of prosecution and, in the event of nonpayment of such fine and costs of prosecution, such person shall be subject to imprisonment for a period not exceeding 10 days.
B. 
Any person who shall violate any provision of a section listed below shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than that specified for a violation of said section, and in the event of nonpayment of such fine and costs of prosecution, such person shall be subject to imprisonment for a period not exceeding that indicated for said section.

C. 
A notice of violation of any provision of Article III, §§ 275-23 through 275-26, or Article IV, § 275-34, of this chapter shall be placed on the vehicle parked in violation, such notice to contain instructions to the owner or operator of such vehicle that, if he shall report to the Police Department of the Borough of West View and pay the penalty imposed for such violation within 48 hours after the time of such notice, or if he shall place such sum within the envelope provided in any of the special parking fine boxes installed in various places in the Borough of West View within such time limit, the same shall save the violator from prosecution and from payment of the fine and costs above prescribed.
D. 
Any person, corporation, association or other entity who violates § 275-31, Handicapped parking, shall be guilty of a summary offense and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine in accordance with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Code (Motor Vehicle Code).[1] The Motor Vehicle Code, as of the date of the adoption of this section, provides for a fine of not less than $50 nor more than $200. If the violator pays the fine to the Borough Police Department within 48 hours of the time of the issuance of the citation for violation, the same is hereby established at the lowest permissible amount which is as of this date $25. Notice of the parking violation and right to prepay shall be given in accordance with law. All handicapped parking signs shall meet PennDOT specifications.
