As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
ABANDONED OR JUNKED VEHICLE
Any motor vehicle or part thereof, as defined in the Motor Vehicle Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which is not in working order, which does not have a current registration plate and which is stored or kept outside of a fully enclosed building.
PERSON
A natural person, partnership, association, firm or corporation. Whenever used in a clause imposing a fine or imprisonment, the term "person," as applied to a partnership, firm or association, shall mean the chief executive officer or secretary thereof.
It shall be unlawful for any person, as herein defined, to store, maintain or keep any abandoned or junked vehicle on private or public property within the limits of the Borough of West View.

Any person violating the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction by a Magisterial District Judge, be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $5 nor more than $300, plus costs of prosecution, and in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment for a period not exceeding 30 days in the Allegheny County Jail. All fines collected upon conviction or upon forfeiture of the balance shall be paid to the Borough of West View. Each calendar day in which an abandoned or junked vehicle is stored, maintained or kept in violation of this chapter shall constitute a separate and distinct offense.
